I have never really understood the obsession people have with their eyebrows and why anyone would want to spend so much of their time and money on maintaining them.
I think this is mostly because I have always had pretty decent eyebrows, not too bushy or too sparse and a nice natural shape. If I had ever struggled with my brows I probably would have jumped on the brow care bandwagon but because I didn’t, I never gave my brows a second thought until recently.
I don’t know exactly when it happened but my brows seem to have lost their colour and become almost blonde. It must have been gradual as I didn’t really notice it until I looked in the mirror and realised that I couldn’t see my eyebrows unless i looked for them.
i know that sounds weird, like i dropped them down the back or the sofa or left them on the bus, but seriously I had to really look, as my brows had gone blonde and were now blending into the background of my pale skin. So i made my first foray into brow maintenance.
I have had my brows tinted a few times now but though I would share the latest one as I also had my eyelashes tinted. I have wanted to have my lashes tinted for quite a while, the idea of waking up every morning looking like you are wearing mascara really appealed , especially as the ends of my lashes also seem to be going blonde .
I decided to bite the bullet and book in for a brow and lash tint at my local benefit boutique (the lash tints are only available at stand alone boutiques). The lady doing my tints was lovely and talked me though everything. I had dark brown with a little black on my brows and blue black on my lashes
So here is the before and after, I apologise for the lighting change and my poor photography skills.Read More
